Only one evening after this post, and completely by chance, I caught a glimpse of two large black corvids taking cover in a billboard off BW Square. (Our billboards are double-sided, and this particular one affords heavy cover from potential night predators). The sun had already set but it was still twilight, but too dark to see them inside it. If it is what it looks like, then it's a pair and not a gang, which is even more interesting.
